I had the honor of assisting and officiating Kelly and Justin's lovely beach wedding on August 15th. I had been working on Kelly's wedding with her for the past several months while she planned everything from Tallahassee, and it was so exciting to finally meet her in person. She looked absolutely stunning with her taffeta ball gown and birdcage veil.
Their wedding took place on Treasure Island beach, which is a location I personally enjoy because it is more secluded than some of the other beach areas. As I drove over from Tampa, a huge rainstorm was tailing me and I had my fingers crossed that it would clear up before wedding time because I knew how much Kelly wanted that beach wedding. When ceremony time came around, it was a huge downpour, so we waited. And 10 minutes later.... the skies cleared and we were able to set back up on the beach and have the wedding she and Justin had dreamed of! The cloudy skies also made an even more beautiful backdrop for the photos. It was a really emotional ceremony with many tears (happy ones!) and I barely made it through my script to be honest. I have this thing that when people cry, I cry. But we made it through and the ceremony turned out fabulous. :)
Lawrence Photography captured the day and I enjoyed meeting Stephen for the first time. He sent me over some great photos for me to share on my blog, and I really appreciate it! Kelly and Justin, it was wonderful working with you and I wish you all the best in your future together!
